It was a very icy crisp morning, 4 of us turned up to ride, myself, John, Steve and Trevor. The ice melted away, it was a stunning winters morning. We cycled through Walkern and Cottered, we enjoyed the wonderful downhill of Throcking with its beautiful views. It was then onwards and upwards through Wydial, the long slow hill opened  up our lungs. Then on to Hare Street to the March Hare. We were very fortunate we were the only customers so we did not have to wait at all. Half of Hertfordshire must have been like the rest of you spoiling there mums!!!!

After our break, we headed to Puckeridge. We crossed the A10 and made our way to Leavens Green. Our final climb of the day was Whempstead Lane. It does not matter how many times you cycle it never gets any easier!!!

We made our way down Elms Lane and back into Watton. We completed 30 miles and were back by 12.30. Plenty of the day left for us to enjoy Mothers Day. Guys you were great company. No mechanicals. Thoroughly enjoyable ride. Thank you all
